Hello /r/touhou! My name is Moogs Parfait, I’m part of the 2 person doujin circle Mystery Parfait. We’re one of the few doujin circles based in the United States. Along with my partner, Carrot Parfait (no relation), we released the Touhou board game Danmaku!! in 2016. This year we got the Japanese version of Danmaku!! into Yellow Submarine stores in Japan. In June (next month!!!) we’re releasing our first expansion: Danmaku!! Lunatic Extra.

Danmaku!!

Danmaku!! is a party-style card game, everyone plays with the same set of cards, and the game supports between 4 and 8 players.

Danmaku!! Lunatic Extra

The initial Danmaku!! release contained 24 playable characters, with Lunatic Extra doubling that to 48, as well as adding the popular Lunatic deck, which contains all those OP cards people dream about.

Every year we travel to Anime Expo to meet and play with fans, last year we even got to meet ZUN!

2 vs 1 is fiiiiiine

Today I’d like to talk about Spell Assist! This special Invocation card allows you to activate your Spell Card like normal, but it has a secondary function, you can pass it to another player so that they can activate their Spell Card instead. Spell Assist’s pass is also our new Instant type, which is exactly how it sounds, instant!

Also a reminder, for those who missed the announcement, Lunatic Extra was delayed but is now in the hands of the manufacturer and our new estimate for release is late Spring.
